From the heart...

Hi Folks, My name is Fred Ellsworth and I am the front man for Crisis.  It is always a blast when we get together to play.  I so look forward to it now.

I started playing guitar when I was seven and really took to watching Buck Owens and Roy Clark on Hee Haw.  It was a great lesson in playing.

After a few years of playing at church and around the house I hooked up with some guys in our neighborhood just outside of Boston to start a band.  The would not take to playing Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, so I learned to play Aerosmith and J. Geils.  It was a lot of fun and it kept me busy right through high school.

After high school the band got very serious and we really commited to our own music.  It was a lot of fun, but a ton of work.  We stuck with it for years before I felt it was time to move on.

After that it was time to get back to my roots and start playing country again.  I played with several bands and then hooked up with Bobby Carlson for a few years and had a blast backing him up.

From there it was a matter of keeping some guys together so that I could have some fun, and these are the guys who stuck.  I am sure they would say the same thing...if we could do this every night we would.

Tim and Rick have been with me for....let's just say 'a long time' so as not to date ourselves too much.  Cailte got drafted a year or so back when we were united to do a show at the Tweeter Center before a Brad Paisley show.  He brings out some of my best stuff.

That brings us to now, really looking forward to 2009 to see what it brings.

Looking forward to producing a new CD of original stuff, but for now have been recording our live performances to get a feel for what our sound is like with the songs we play every night.

Thanks for checking us out!
